Louis Tomlinson received a heartwarming show of support from his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan, who attended his concert in Paris just days after reports emerged of a physical altercation between Louis and Zayn Malik.
Sources claimed last week that a Netflix travel series featuring Louis and Zayn had been shelved after Zayn allegedly punched Louis during filming, leaving the singer with a concussion and requiring medical treatment. The pair have reportedly not spoken since the incident occurred six months ago, and Louis, 34, appeared to confirm the rift by unfollowing Zayn, 33, on Instagram.
Niall, however, showed his loyalty to Louis by attending his performance at the Accor Arena in Paris on Wednesday. Louis excited the crowd by acknowledging Niall's presence and expressing his gratitude.
Footage shared on TikTok captured Louis saying: 'I also wanna say I've got a mate in the house today, somewhere around there. So, yeah, shout-out to you Niall. Appreciate you coming today man, that means a lot. Thank you very much.'
The reported feud between Louis and Zayn emerged after they had signed a multi-million pound deal for a travel show in the US, where they planned to discuss their lives and reflect on memories from their time in the band. However, according to The Sun, the series was scrapped after the alleged physical altercation.
Louis seemingly confirmed the feud by unfollowing Zayn on Instagram, while Zayn still follows Louis among his 17 accounts. The Daily Mail reached out to Netflix, Campfire Studios, and representatives for Zayn and Louis for comment.
Since the incident, Zayn has reportedly been seeking treatment from a cardiologist after a mysterious health scare that forced him to cancel several promotional events for his new album. He was scheduled to perform in Kingston, UK on April 13 for a special One Night Only show, but he told fans he was 'heartbroken' to cancel. In an Instagram post, he expressed gratitude for fans' understanding and thanked hospital staff.
An insider has reported that Zayn is seeking further medical treatment from the 'No. 1 cardiologist in the world.' The source told People.com that the star had to cancel a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show this week as he continues to recover.
