A 38-year-old woman, Andrea Clarice Davis, allegedly shot at her husband at a Phoenix bar before returning home and killing herself and their two children in a murder-suicide, police said.
Bar Shooting Incident
The 39-year-old husband was at Tailgaters Bar shortly after midnight on Monday when his wife arrived and opened fire, according to the Glendale Police Department. Officers responding to the scene discovered a 36-year-old female patron with a gunshot wound to the back of her head; she was hospitalized and is expected to survive.
Threatening Messages
After the bar shooting, the husband received threatening text messages from his wife, including a photo of one of their children bleeding. The couple had a 10-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl.
Police arrived at the family home around 2:30 a.m. and found Davis and the two children deceased from gunshot wounds. Sergeant Lorraine Fernandez of the Phoenix Police Department said, "It is very difficult to deal with today. No one wants to see harm done to children."
Family Separation
Felicia Queen, a cousin of the children's father, stated that Davis and her husband were in the process of separating. The family has requested privacy. According to ABC 15, there were no prior domestic violence reports involving the couple.
The investigation remains active, with the Glendale Police Department handling the bar scene and the Phoenix Police Department leading the homicide investigation.
