Molly-Mae Hague's family is reportedly 'concerned' as Tommy Fury prepares to step back into the ring just one day after the influencer's due date for their second child. The couple, who met on Love Island, are expecting their second baby next month, but the boxer has a fight scheduled against Strongman star Eddie Hall in Manchester on June 13.
Traumatic Past Experience
Molly-Mae, 26, previously admitted she was 'traumatised' when Tommy fought YouTube star Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia just weeks after the birth of their daughter Bambi in 2023. She described the period as 'hell and back' and said it sent 'shivers down her spine'. The mum-of-one revealed she was 24 weeks and 6 days pregnant during a scan on February 26, placing her due date on June 12.
Family Unhappy with Timing
A source told the Mail that Molly's family are 'unhappy' with Tommy's decision to fight so close to the birth. 'It's unforgivable that both times Tommy has made himself unavailable for the newborn trenches and left Molly to deal on her own. They're not skint. It's not like a regular couple where the man might not have much choice but to work,' the source said.
Despite the family's concerns, company filings for Tommy Fury TNT Limited reveal a massive financial upturn following the Jake Paul fight. Assets rocketed from £361,767 in 2023 to £9.49 million in 2024, with capital and reserves soaring from £137,362 to over £6.1 million. It is reported that Tommy earned £16,429 per day from boxing and endorsements after his win.
Molly's Struggle
Molly previously opened up about her struggle after Bambi's birth, saying, 'The first four weeks of Bambi's life, I really did do it by myself, and I was home alone with her. It sounds dramatic, and it sounds intense, but I guess I do have a little bit of trauma from the first few weeks.' She added that Tommy's return home was 'almost better than the day Bambi was born'.
The Mirror has contacted Molly and Tommy's representative for comment.
