Missing US General Seen Carrying Mysterious Package Before Disappearance

A new photograph has emerged showing retired US Major General William Neil McCasland, who vanished on February 27, carrying a mysterious package from an outdoor retailer in New Mexico. The image, released by the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office after a Freedom of Information request, shows McCasland leaving an REI store in Albuquerque on February 26, the day before he disappeared.

McCasland, 66, was reportedly linked to classified UFO and nuclear information. His wife, Susan Wilkerson, told 911 operators that he left his home without his phone, wallet, or prescription sunglasses, and that she believed he 'planned not to be found'. She also noted he changed his clothes before leaving on foot.

An anonymous female witness, who claimed to have dined with McCasland the evening before his disappearance, described him as 'spacey and quiet', unlike his usual self. She also stated that McCasland had a high security clearance and was named in UFO documents slated for release.

The contents of the package he was carrying remain unknown, though some online observers have speculated that a small yellow item visible in the photo could be a first aid kit. McCasland's disappearance has sparked widespread discussion due to his access to sensitive military secrets.
