Mike Tindall Jokes Prince Harry 'Used to Be Fun'

Prince Harry has been on the receiving end of a jibe from Mike Tindall, the husband of Zara Phillips. During a talk at the Hay Festival in Powys, Tindall made a comment about how the Duke of Sussex 'used to be fun.'

Tindall's Hay Festival Appearance

The former rugby player was speaking alongside his co-hosts from The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast, James Haskell and Alex Payne. The trio discussed Tindall's 2011 wedding to Zara Phillips, daughter of the Princess Royal. Tindall feigned surprise that Haskell had not embarrassed himself at the event, but then took a swipe at Prince Harry, who now lives in California with wife Meghan Markle. He said: 'A lot of other people managed that way better than you - [like] Harry, when he was fun.'

Royal Connections and Friendship

Prince Harry is godfather to Mike and Zara's second daughter, Lena. However, the friendship is said to have cooled since Harry and Meghan relocated to Montecito. During the festival session, there were further jokes about Tindall's royal ties. Haskell ribbed him about his 2018 corrective rhinoplasty for a broken nose, saying: 'Taxpayers' money fixed it. It's got the royal warrant if you look inside it.'

The lighthearted jabs come as Harry and Meghan continue to build their life away from the royal spotlight, while other members of the family maintain their public roles.
