Guilty verdict on all but one charge
An independent panel ruled that the club were guilty of all but one of the infractions. As a result, City and the rest of the Premier League now await the course of action to be taken against them.
Possible penalties include points deductions, fines, demotion from the English top flight, and even being stripped of titles won between 2009 and 2018, the period in which the alleged breaches occurred.
Appeal expected to extend saga
However, the Greater Manchester-based club are expected to appeal the decision, meaning fans may have to wait longer to see the drawn-out saga concluded. Al Mubarak's confidence signals the club's intent to contest the ruling.
