Kerry Katona Slams Katie Price's Husband Kidnap Saga, Wishes She Stayed Single
Kerry Katona Slams Katie Price's Husband Kidnap Saga

Katie Price's long-time friend Kerry Katona has expressed her strong disapproval of the ongoing saga surrounding Katie's husband, Lee Andrews, who has been missing in Dubai. Kerry admitted she wished Katie had 'stayed single' after her previous relationship ended.

Kerry's Reaction to the Kidnap Claims

Speaking in her column for new! magazine, Kerry said: 'As I write this, we're still no closer to figuring out what's happened to Lee Andrews, Katie Price's husband who's been missing in Dubai.' She added that while she cannot comment on the details due to her busy tour schedule, 'It's not a nice situation for anyone involved, let alone Kate and Lee's family.'

Kerry went on to say: 'I wish she'd stayed bloody single after things ended with JJ. But love is blind! Now we'll just wait for the Netflix series to come out – working title: ''Where's Wally?''

Background of Tensions

Kerry had previously unfollowed Lee on social media last month after it was alleged that he punched her boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, during a heated argument in Dubai. The altercation reportedly occurred when Paolo intervened in what he perceived as Lee speaking aggressively to Katie. A source told The Sun: 'Lee was having some cross words with Katie. Paolo then appeared and stepped in. Lee seemed to be very angry and was shouting at him. It all got very heated and Lee threw some punches and one of them landed Paolo square on the head.'

Kerry and Katie's 22-year friendship, which began after their appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, was said to have been strained by this incident.

Katie Steps Back from Search

Katie, who married Lee in January after a whirlwind ten-day romance, initially begged her followers for help in finding him after he vanished last Wednesday. However, she has now declared she is 'giving up the search for her own sanity.' On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she said: 'There's nothing I can do, nothing more that I can say. And the police are dealing with it. I'm just leaving it to the police.'

She added: 'The police are now handling it, the British police, British consulate, the foreign office, Interpol they're on the case looking for Lee. All I can do is just get on with my life.'

Confusion Over Disappearance

Katie revealed that she no longer knows what to believe, stating: 'I don't know what's true, what's not true. I'm like that now, I don't know.' She titled her podcast episode 'My tentacles are up, I am not stupid' and said she is taking a step back to assess everything.

The podcast ended abruptly when Katie received a call from the police. Her sister Sophie informed listeners: 'Kate has had to shoot off because she's taking a call from the police, so that is it for today's episode.'

Reports have emerged suggesting that Lee has not been kidnapped as Katie feared, but is instead squatting in a run-down villa in Dubai, using a burner phone to plan his next move.
