Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews has reportedly been active on his mobile phone days after vanishing, despite his family's frantic search. The 43-year-old businessman disappeared last week, prompting the former glamour model, 47, and her husband's relatives to file a missing persons report with the Foreign Office.
According to reports, Lee checked his WhatsApp messages at 5.56pm on Saturday, days after his last contact with Katie. In his final messages to her, he claimed he had been arrested and taken to a 'black site', but the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai confirmed no one by his name has been detained.
Katie has shared the last messages she received from Lee, which appeared to say he had been arrested before changing to detained. He told his wife he would 'sort it', but has not been heard from since. Katie said: 'His dad's out in Dubai, he has heard nothing and the rest of his family's in the UK. My anxiety levels are sky high.'
However, Lee's family are reportedly unhappy with Katie's public pleas. A family friend said Kelly, Lee's sister, is leading the family's efforts and was not pleased with a video Katie posted suggesting Lee had been kidnapped. Lee's mother Trisha also appeared to criticise Katie on Facebook, calling her actions 'exploiting'.
Katie denies claims the disappearance is a publicity stunt and has pleaded for information about her husband's whereabouts. The couple married in January after knowing each other for a short time.
