Katie Price has admitted that her mother was left 'p***ed off' after she made a sudden U-turn over the dedication of a song, originally recorded for her mum but later shared as a tribute to her missing husband Lee Andrews.
Whirlwind Romance and Disappearance
The 47-year-old former glamour model's life took another dramatic turn earlier this year when she announced her engagement to Dubai-based entrepreneur Lee Andrews for the ninth time. Despite warnings from former girlfriends and business associates, Katie married for the fourth time just days after meeting him, describing him as her dream man.
The drama escalated when Lee was due to appear with Katie on ITV's Good Morning Britain but seemingly disappeared, claiming he was arrested by UAE authorities for espionage. The story later shifted to suggest he may have been kidnapped. After a two-week search, Lee called Katie from prison yesterday morning.
Song Dedication Sparks Family Resentment
Katie released a cover of Oleta Adams' 'Get Here' as a tribute to her missing husband. However, her sister Sophie revealed on a podcast that the decision caused family drama. Katie initially told her mum, who has been unwell, that she recorded the song for her. But then she posted it on Instagram with a dedication to Lee.
Their mother told Sophie that Katie's U-turn 'really p****d her off'. Katie defended herself, saying she recorded the song to cheer up her mum because it was one of her favourites, but then realised the lyrics resonated with her situation with Lee.
Sophie and step-dad Paul Price expressed shock at the Instagram reel, but Katie insisted it was done in one take, saying 'I sound dreadful in it, but I don't care.'
