Katie Price has disclosed further details of her brief two-minute phone conversation with her husband, Lee Andrews, who is currently incarcerated in a Dubai prison. Andrews had been presumed ‘missing’ for a fortnight before the call took place.
Revelations from the Podcast
During the latest episode of her money-making podcast, The Katie Price Show, released on Thursday, Price revealed that Andrews was taken aback to learn he has become the ‘most hated man in prison’. This follows his earlier claims of being kidnapped and his subsequent disappearance from public view.
However, it appears Andrews continues to struggle with honesty, as Price stated he told her he was arrested on suspicion of espionage. Reports, however, indicate that his arrest was related to a civil matter.
Maintaining the Relationship
Despite Andrews being branded a scammer, Price remains intent on preserving their relationship. She confronted him over allegations that he followed another woman during his time ‘missing’. Price has stated she will learn more once Andrews is released from Al Awir Central Prison on Monday, after he pays a four-figure sum.
Public Interview Demanded
Earlier this month, Price had expressed a desire to maintain a private life. Yet, she has now instructed Andrews to give an interview to ‘set a few things straight’, asserting that the British public ‘deserve it’.
On her podcast, Price told Andrews he is the ‘most hated man in Britain’ and challenged him over the ‘other woman’ situation, noting his difficult time in prison.
Background of the Arrest
The Daily Mail had previously reported, based on Andrews’ father, that Lee had been arrested and was being held in a Dubai prison. Price initially debunked this claim. The prison, located less than 20 miles from Dubai’s city centre, has been described as ‘hell on earth’ and houses murderers, terrorists, and rapists.
During their first conversation since his disappearance, Andrews told Price he was arrested and detained on suspicion of spying. However, The Sun now understands that Andrews was actually detained over claims relating to a private civil matter. Authorities have confirmed that he was not held on spying charges.
