Jamie Reynolds Fate Revealed in AGGGTM Season 2

The highly anticipated second season of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is now streaming on BBC iPlayer, and the gripping mystery has finally come to an end. Based on Holly Jackson's bestselling novels, the six-part follow-up picks up with amateur investigator Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) recovering from solving the murder of Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies). However, a new case emerges when key witness Jamie Reynolds (Eden Hambelton Davies) goes missing, throwing the trial of Max Hastings (Henry Ashton) into disarray.

What Happened to Jamie Reynolds?

Throughout the season, Pip and her boyfriend Ravi Singh (Zain Iqbal) discover that Jamie had been catfished by a mysterious figure known as Layla Mead. Layla convinced Jamie to kill Stanley Forbes (Misia Butler), who is actually Jack Brunswick, the son of a child killer. However, Jamie is overpowered and locked in Stanley's bathroom. The two eventually become friends, and Jamie stays with Stanley until Layla's identity is revealed. At the end of the series, Jamie is alive and well, nurturing his passion for music.

Who Was Layla Mead?

Layla Mead is revealed to be the alias of Pip's new neighbour, Charlie Green (Jack Rowan), the twin brother of one of Scott Brunswick's victims. Charlie had been hunting for Child Brunswick—the alias of Jack—to avenge his sister's murder. In the final episode, Charlie confronts Stanley in an abandoned manor, shoots him, and sets the building on fire. Stanley dies despite Pip's efforts to save him, and Charlie escapes.

Max Hastings Walks Free

Despite Pip's investigation, Max Hastings is allowed to walk free and taunts Pip at Stanley's funeral. Meanwhile, Pip continues to receive threatening messages, with someone breaking into her bedroom and writing on her laptop: "Who will look for you when you're the one who disappears?" This leaves fans questioning whether Max is responsible or if another stalker is lurking. The season ends with Pip traumatised by the ordeal, setting up potential storylines for a third season or the next book, As Good as Dead.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 is available on BBC iPlayer and internationally on Netflix.
