Holly Ramsay and Sister-in-Law Bethany Peaty Reunite Amid Family Feud
Holly Ramsay Reunites with Bethany Peaty Amid Family Feud

Holly Ramsay reunited with her sister-in-law Bethany Peaty on Saturday, sharing a sweet snap on Instagram that highlighted their enduring bond. Bethany, 32, had previously been accused of 'betraying' her family after she pledged allegiance to her brother, Adam Peaty, by attending Holly's hen party and serving as a bridesmaid at their wedding in Bath Abbey in December.

Five months after the wedding, the pair demonstrated that their relationship remains strong. Bethany posted a photo pouting alongside Holly, 26, captioning it: 'Missed my girl'. Holly reshared the image on her own Instagram, writing: 'Sister' alongside a love heart and star emoji, expressing her affection for Adam's elder sister.

The reunion comes amid an ongoing bitter feud between Adam Peaty and his family. Adam banned his mother Caroline and other relatives from attending his wedding due to the rift, first revealed by The Daily Mail last autumn. Bethany has since shared her heartbreak over the dispute, revealing she feels torn between loyalty to her mother and her Olympic champion brother.

Name Change Controversy

The snap follows accusations from Adam's estranged family that he is 'cashing in' on his celebrity chef father-in-law Gordon Ramsay by competing in the Commonwealth Games under his new name. The Olympian, 31, who aims to make history at the upcoming event in July with Team England, is using the surname Adam Ramsay-Peaty because the 'Ramsay name opens doors,' according to a family source.

The insider told the Daily Mail: 'As much as Adam wants to be a Ramsay, he is not. He is a Peaty. Adam has financial control and is cashing in on the Ramsay name because it opens doors. He is playing a role.'

The swimmer, who married Gordon's influencer daughter Holly Ramsay at a high-profile wedding in Bath Abbey in December, has been fully embraced by the famous TV chef and his wife Tana, even calling them 'dad' and 'mum'.

Family's Heartbreak

The source close to Adam's 'devastated' parents, Mark and Caroline from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, who have supported his career, said: 'Adam is embarrassed of his roots and upbringing.' They claim he has 'changed beyond belief' since joining the Ramsay clan, leaving the family 'hurt, disappointed, bewildered and devastated'.

In a fresh swipe at the swimmer, the source added: 'Adam may be rich but we have something that he hasn’t and that is brains, loyalty, integrity and family. Money makes for a cold bedfellow. It can’t hold you tight when things go wrong or when you have a bad day. When you live to be famous you aren’t living, you are playing a role. Fame is but fleeting but family is forever.'

Commonwealth Games Ambitions

Adam Peaty, a three-time Olympic champion, is hoping to become the first British swimmer to win gold medals at four consecutive Commonwealth Games. This will be his first major event since marrying Holly. He secured his place in the Commonwealth Games by winning the 100-metre breaststroke at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships in April, earning public praise from his proud wife.

Peaty has previously won four Commonwealth gold medals and three silvers, having made his debut at the event in 2014.
