Prince Harry could be set to lose his Duke of Sussex title, according to TV star Mark Dolan, who cited a royal insider's claim that Prince William "despises" his brother.
The TalkTV star appeared on News24 to talk to Paul Murray about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the UK. The couple have moved to the UK, and are said to be living in a £12m home in the Cotswolds, where their two children, Archie and Lilibet, are going to school.
Return to the UK and reconciliation hopes
Reports have been circulating that Harry is hoping to reconcile with King Charles and Prince William, but is said to "want an apology" from the pair about the way they were treated by them and the royal staff.
Speaking about the couple, Paul said to Mark Dolan on air: "I think this is all about Harry getting back into the family, while Charles is the one making the decision about who comes back.
"Why? Because then the housing's paid for, then there's the security, the world sort of comes back up. There will be all these elements that he'll be able to manage because that door is welded shut when it's William, because otherwise, why are they back?"
Title blow and family dynamics
Mark replied: "You've nailed it with Prince William, who my royal insider tells me despises his brother, and there's no way back when he becomes King. It's likely that Harry will lose his Duke of Sussex title and Archie and Lily will no longer be Prince and Princess, so as you say, he's got to make hay while the sun shines.
"His father, King Charles, desperately wants time with the grandchildren, and Harry is smart. He's leveraged that in order to get the High Grove House summit, which happened just a few weeks ago and now that return to the UK is gonna be about Harry getting close to the family again."
Legal costs and future plans
He continued: "Let's not forget the bills, keep coming, particularly the legal costs, having failed in legal action against the Daily Mail, and that's Harry's plan."
Mark then said: "I actually think, Paul, that Harry's the winner here because he gets back to his country of birth, and he's far better suited to the British climate and woke California was just not his scene. Meghan, on the other hand. Good luck with that."
