Jules Fielder, from Hastings in East Sussex, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at age 38, despite never smoking or vaping. Her symptoms were initially overlooked, but she went on to campaign tirelessly to raise awareness of the disease and save lives.

Jules Fielder's Legacy

Jules used her Instagram account, just_beingjules, to share her journey and educate others, amassing over 67,000 followers. She was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer in 2021, which later mutated to small cell lung cancer in 2025. Her campaigning efforts included a successful initiative to display lung cancer symptoms in Boots pharmacies across the UK, a visit from the Prime Minister, and a letter from King Charles.

Tributes on Good Morning Britain

Hosts Ranvir Singh, 48, and Tom Swarbrick, 39, announced the sad news on Monday, with Ranvir saying, 'I'm afraid to say Jules has sadly died aged at just 42-years-old.' Tom added, 'Amazing woman, an amazing campaign.' Later, they spoke to Jules' friend and MP Helena Dollimore, who praised her work and said, 'The sky was the limit with Jules, she was a force of nature and nothing was going to stop her.' Dollimore added, 'She lit the torch and it's up to those of us still here to carry that torch forward.'

Jules' Instagram account announced her death on Friday with a post reading 'One Bad A** Bougie B****' accompanied by dove and white heart emojis. Followers paid heartfelt tributes, with one writing, 'You fought till the very end, I'm truly so sad to see this. You really were the definition of a truly incredible woman.' Another said, 'You changed the world Jules.' A third added, 'Rest in peace beautiful lady, your light will continue to shine through all the inspirational work you did.'
