Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom in Public Spat Over Infidelity Claims

British boxer Amir Khan has announced on social media that he and his wife Faryal Makhdoom are to split, while also accusing her of cheating with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua. The 31-year-old former light-welterweight world champion posted: 'So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split.'

Faryal Makhdoom responded by accusing Khan of infidelity, saying: 'I think he just needs some attention because boxing hasn't been going well.' The couple, who married in an elaborate ceremony in 2013, have a three-year-old daughter, Lamaisah.

Anthony Joshua has denied any involvement, stating he has 'never even met' Faryal. He responded on Twitter with a clip of the Shaggy song 'It Wasn't Me' and added: 'I hope you guys can resolve your situation or this is a hack.'

Khan also made a joke about Faryal 'moving up in the weight classes', a reference to Joshua being a heavyweight. Faryal, who runs a make-up business, has previously had a difficult relationship with her in-laws, who she said called her 'very fake'.
