Emmerdale Teen Scams Caleb Miligan for £5,000 Using AI

One Emmerdale teenager is set to regret his criminal behaviour in upcoming episodes, as he turns scammer and targets a fellow villager in a bid to steal thousands of pounds.

Archie Breckle's Criminal Turn

Spoilers for Emmerdale have confirmed a major shake-up for one teenager, as they turn to crime. Not only that, but they target someone in the village. Of all the people to steal money from, the teen in question decides to scam his father's boss, Caleb Miligan.

Archie Breckle turns criminal next week as he scams £5,000 from Caleb by using AI. Tricking Caleb into thinking he is his daughter Steph Miligan, he asks for some money for a deposit for a flat in London. Caleb clearly does not check it is Steph, as he goes ahead with it. It is actually Archie using an AI recording of Steph's voice in a call, and soon the money lands in his account.

Suspicions Arise

Archie could do better at hiding his theft though, as soon he sparks suspicions with his father Jai Sharma's new love interest, Kerry Wyatt. With Jai away, Kerry has been looking after Archie. So when she takes in a delivery of an expensive new computer, she wonders how he has paid for it. Archie has used Caleb's stolen money, and soon he is caught out.

Kerry finds the AI recording of Steph's voice, but will she expose him to Caleb? Either way, Caleb will likely figure out at some point that he has been scammed. After all, Ruby Miligan tells her sister-in-law Chas Dingle that Steph is not in London. She reveals she is in Thailand with her new boyfriend, which means it obviously is not her needing a deposit for a flat.

Caleb's Ongoing Troubles

Whether this reaches Caleb remains to be seen, but perhaps Archie has not thought this through. It comes as Caleb faced drama with a theft at the depot this week. He tasked his nephew Noah Dingle with sorting the electrics in the building, but Noah misplaced the keys. They were stolen by his mother Charity Dingle, who is desperately trying to pay off her blackmailer Dr Todd.

What happens next will be revealed soon, but it is safe to say Caleb is not happy, and Noah is in his bad books. So how will he react if he finds out on top of this that he has been scammed for thousands of pounds?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
