Emmerdale spoilers suggest that Dr Todd's reign of terror may soon come to an end, but not necessarily by the hands of Charity Dingle or Jacob Sugden. The villainous doctor has been blackmailing Charity and bullying Jacob for months, but recent episodes have seen her retire from her hospital job. However, she continues to target Jacob in the village, convincing new love interest Vanessa Woodfield that Jacob is obsessed with her.
Next week, Charity warns Vanessa to be careful around Todd, and Vanessa appears to take the warning on board. Meanwhile, Sarah Sugden, Jacob's wife and Charity's granddaughter, is disgusted by Vanessa and Todd's blossoming romance. Sarah has already confronted Vanessa over Todd's treatment of Jacob, and her fury may lead her to take action.
With Jacob deciding against reporting Todd to HR, Sarah might feel compelled to expose the truth. Alternatively, Vanessa, having heeded Charity's warning, could start to realise something is amiss. The possibility of the two women teaming up against Todd is also hinted at.
The tension escalates for Charity next week when Todd demands a £10,000 payment and gives her a week to pay up. Charity attempts to sell her share of The Woolpack pub to raise the funds, but faces rejections from Ruby Miligan and Caleb Miligan. She then turns to Kim Tate, offering the share at a discounted price, but Kim only says she will think about it. Whether Charity will be forced to sell the pub remains to be seen.
