Viewers have taken to social media to share their theories, with one fan posting: 'Anyone else think that the only way Dr Todd will be silenced is that she'll actually be silenced, like permanently??' Another replied: 'I still think that it'll be another whodunnit. Jacob, Vanessa, Charity, even Eric or Sarah, can be lined up as potential suspects.'
The speculation follows a pattern of recent villains on the soap being killed off. One fan noted: 'If you look at the fate of the previous crop of villains (Ray, Celia, John), then you're probably right. Then we'll have an anticlimactic whodunnit until the next short-term baddie pops up.'
