EastEnders' Ian Beale may be heading for a new romantic twist after a violent confrontation with ex-wife Cindy Beale. The pair clashed again as Cindy continues her hunt for the person who attacked her with a shovel on Christmas Day. During a heated argument, Cindy punched Ian in the face, leaving him with a bloodied nose.
Ian was tended to by Priya Nandra-Hart, with whom he has recently struck up a friendship. The duo have grown close as Ian hopes the alliance will annoy Cindy. Priya was seen dabbing away Ian's blood, hinting at a possible romantic spark between them.
The attack on Cindy remains unresolved, with the true culprit set to be revealed during EastEnders' 40th anniversary week in February 2025. The anniversary will feature a live episode on 20 February, where viewers will vote on the outcome of Denise Fox's love triangle between Jack Branning and Ravi Gulati.
Other anniversary highlights include the return of Grant Mitchell, played by Ross Kemp, and the destruction of The Queen Victoria pub in a fire. Special programming will include a documentary hosted by Kemp and a behind-the-scenes special with Joe Swash.
