EastEnders spoilers confirm that Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) are about to face the consequences of their affair, as Ned Hawkins (Jamie Bamber) steps in with a shocking demand.
Lauren had initially tried to remain faithful to her husband Peter Beale (Thomas Law), asking Mark to leave after their first kiss. But when Mark returned to Walford to say goodbye before heading to Florida, Lauren found herself in a difficult situation regarding her dad Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) treatment of Peter’s mum Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). On the outs with Peter, she gave in to temptation and began an affair with Mark.
Caught in the act
Mark and Lauren have struggled to find a place to meet, but they thought they had found one at No.31. However, the house is not empty. Later, at Harry’s Barn, Lauren tries to calm a rattled Mark, suggesting it was just a handyman. But it was actually Ned Hawkins, who makes it clear he heard everything and wants a favour in return for his silence.
Mark's horrifying choice
Mark listens to Ned’s demand and is horrified. Lauren is resolute that he must do whatever Ned wants, fearing the destruction exposure would cause her life. Reluctantly, Mark agrees to follow Ned’s orders.
