Eagles' Fred Johnson Breaks Silence After Pregnant Girlfriend's Accusations
Eagles' Fred Johnson Responds to Pregnant Ex's Claims

Fred Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle accused of ending his relationship with his pregnant girlfriend to pursue other women on dating apps, has broken his silence with a cryptic social media post. The 28-year-old NFL journeyman wrote on Instagram: 'God ain't bring me this far just to leave me. This to shall pass. I love you all.'

Despite the grammatical error, Johnson's post appears to be a direct response to allegations made by his now-former partner, identified online as Lyss Okada. In a series of TikTok videos, Okada, who is eight months pregnant, spoke 'hypothetically' about a man moving on from his pregnant girlfriend.

'Hypothetically, if a man were to kick out his eight-month pregnant girlfriend and unborn daughter and be on Hinge the very next day looking for women to have fun with, hypothetically you would not think that man is a good man or good father,' she said in a lengthy video on Friday. 'You would not think that man would have any form of decency, integrity or have morals if, hypothetically, those situations were true, those would be some sh***y f***ing people, in my opinion.'

Johnson initially responded on Instagram, writing that the 'smartest flex isn't revenge,' before posting his latest message on Monday. Okada has also faced backlash over her relationship with Johnson, leading her to defend herself in another TikTok video.

'I just truly think it's time people stop blaming women for the partners they choose,' she said. 'And start blaming partners for pretending to be something that they are not. What I've realized is there are so many people quick to say "what did you do" or "you knew what you were getting yourself into." That is not true. No woman ever knowingly goes into a situation thinking this person is going to hurt me, this person is going to lie to me, this person is going to be a completely different person to the one he is showing me.'

Johnson, who won a Super Bowl title with the Eagles in February 2025, is considered one of the top backup offensive tackles in the NFL. He proved crucial for Philadelphia last season while filling in for All-Pro starters Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata. The 6ft 7in, 326-pound West Palm native attended the University of Florida before spending three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has been with the Eagles for the past three seasons.
