Gordon Ramsay found himself in a rush last month when he ran late for his Instagram Live cooking demonstration because he was making a cup of tea. The celebrity chef, 53, dashed into his kitchen after his daughter Tilly, 18, shouted that the broadcast had already started.
Ramsay, who was demonstrating how to make a burger in 10 minutes, explained that he thought he had five more minutes before going live. 'Sorry, excuse me, I was just making a cup of tea because Tilly said I still had five minutes to go!' he said.
The chef filmed the video at his second home in Cornwall, where he has been spending the lockdown period with his family. He has faced criticism for travelling there during the pandemic, but appeared to be enjoying his time away from London.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend, Ramsay shared a scenic beach video on Instagram, praising the beauty of Cornwall's beaches. He also posted a heartfelt birthday message for his daughter Megan, who turned 22.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ramsay has taken out loans secured against 16 of his companies, including those managing his Michelin-starred restaurants, to shore up his restaurant empire during the coronavirus lockdown.
