A reader from Derbyshire linked the rise of children carrying weapons to the ban on the cane in schools since 1987. They wrote: "I said to my mate now watch them go because they know they can’t be touched, there’s no discipline in schools or the homes so what do you expect."
Foreign Aid and the Royal Family
Bobby criticised the UK for giving £5 million to Nepal and Tibet, saying: "We are struggling in this country yet here we are again dishing out 5 million to help Nepal and Tibet!!! Time other countries helped out."
Brian Linford from Pontefract expressed anger over Antigua and Barbuda dropping the pledge of allegiance to the King before his Caribbean visit. He wrote: "SHOW SOME RESPECT. Antigua and Barbuda drop the pledge of allegiance to our KING shortly before his Caribbean visit effectively ‘de realming’ removing the monarch but still in our commonwealth Bahamas are happy Barbados has became a republic BUT sadly these islands ‘want their cake and eat it’!"
Bex criticised Prince Harry, saying: "Harry the brat thinks he is due an apology from the Royal family what flipping planet are you from? Who did the mud slinging? YOU DID. Grow up."
Patriciaskipton defended Nigel Farage's security funding, writing: "This uncaring government has taken umbrage to the fact that Nigel farage has been given £5million for his much needed security yet are willing to allot £5million for Prince Harry’s security when he has come back here unwanted by most people because America’s TV stations have withdrawn cash offers for their contracts that have not been renewed."
