The project, approved in December 2024, has faced backlash from environmental groups and Albanian prosecutors, who launched an investigation amid protests. Locals have dubbed Sazan 'Trump Island.' Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner discovered the site while swimming off a friend's boat.
The criticism comes as a recent Politico survey shows a majority of Americans believe the cost-of-living crisis is the worst they can remember, with 46 percent holding President Donald Trump responsible for the economy.
