Coronation Street actress Olivia Frances Brown has revealed that some viewers are getting closer to guessing the truth about her character Jodie Ramsey, though no one has yet cracked the mystery entirely.
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Brown discussed Jodie's secretive behaviour and the contents of her trinket box, which has intrigued fans. She confirmed that each item in the box is a memento from people Jodie has meddled with, and that the story behind them will be revisited soon.
Brown acknowledged that while fans have not fully figured out Jodie's past or motivations, there have been 'close calls'. She said: 'Everybody has got an opinion. It is nice to see people following closely, investing in Jodie and trying to figure her out. I don't think anybody has yet. There has been a few close calls. Some people are onto something... but she is a mystery to people.'
The actress also hinted that Jodie's actions may soon catch up with her. After a string of thefts on the street, including stealing Lisa Swain's detective badge and Brian Packham's book, Jodie's collection could be exposed. Brown said: 'There is only so long you can behave like Jodie does before it all comes back to haunt her. She is gonna have to face up to some of her past. It's inevitable.'
Fan theories have ranged from Jodie being a serial killer to her trying to ruin her sister Shona's marriage, the latter of which seemed plausible when Jodie attempted to sabotage Shona and David Platt's relationship.
