Coronation Street fans have developed a new theory regarding the impending death of Kylie Platt, suggesting she may be killed by the bullies tormenting her niece, Bethany. The nail technician's demise is set to air this Friday, with the cause and perpetrator kept under wraps.
After Wednesday's episode, where Kylie discovered Bethany's bullies were still harassing her, viewers took to social media to share their suspicions. One fan tweeted: "I reckon it's #Bethanysbullies that kill Kylie. It would be shocking!" Another added: "After watching tonight's ep, I'm thinking bethany's bullies have something to do with Kylie's death."
Alternative theories include Kylie being murdered while stopping Callum's thugs from robbing the kebab shop, or even Bethany accidentally killing her aunt with a knife while defending herself. The cast has described the death as "incredible" and "moving," with David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd revealing he became too emotional to continue filming some scenes.
Shepherd said: "They were really harrowing to do. I just had to literally say words and not look at anyone... The director had to tell me to actually give something." Nick Tilsley actor Ben Price added: "[Kylie's] death is absolutely moving... It's the best stuff I've ever seen on Corrie."
Kylie Platt's final scenes will air on Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
