Coronation Street: Christina Sets Up Summer for Murder

In upcoming Coronation Street episodes, Christina Boyd appears to be setting Summer Spellman up for the murder of Theo Silverton. While Summer is already a suspect and acting suspiciously, Christina pushes the narrative that Summer is guilty, seemingly to cover her own tracks.

Next week, detective Kit Green finds evidence implicating Summer in the crime. George Shuttleworth and Christina discover disturbing entries about Theo in Summer's journal. George quizzes Summer about Theo's death, and a flashback reveals what he saw on the night of the murder.

Christina urges George to tell the police everything he knows about Summer, claiming it is only a matter of time before she is questioned. However, Christina has a secret of her own. She is caught out by the police for lying about something that happened that night.

In retaliation, a panicked Christina tells George he must inform detective Lisa Swain about what he saw and about Summer. This appears to be an attempt to cover up her own lie, raising questions about whether she is setting Summer up for a crime she did not commit—or even if Christina herself killed Theo.

Summer protests her innocence to George and the detectives. But with George unsure of what he saw and Summer clearly hiding something, the truth remains unclear. Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
