The winners of BBC One's Race Across the World have been announced following the series' dramatic finale on Thursday evening. Best friends Jo and Kush claimed the £20,000 prize after being the first to reach the final checkpoint in Hatgal, Mongolia, having traversed over 12,000 kilometres across Europe and Asia.
Winners' Reaction
An elated Kush exclaimed, "I can't put it into words bro!" Jo added, "The dream from the start was opening the final book and seeing it empty, so that actually happening... it's hard to get my head around it." Kush continued, "I hope we did Liverpool proud. Big up scousers!"
Final Standings
Father and daughter duo Andrew and Molly finished in second place, arriving just three hours after the winners. Siblings Katie and Harrison secured third place, while in-laws Mark and Margo came in fourth.
