Coronation Street Fans 'Solve' How Victim Dies in Murder Week

Coronation Street viewers believe they have uncovered how the mystery death victim will die during the soap's upcoming murder week, with a potential culprit in their sights.

Fans have pointed to a scene earlier this week where Gary Windass was seen sorting scaffolding on the street, just as Theo Silverton approached him. Theo, who has been spiralling after being exposed for abusing Todd Grimshaw, is one of five potential victims alongside Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll and Megan Walsh. However, some viewers suspect he may be the killer instead.

The theory suggests that Theo could tamper with the scaffolding to frame Gary or cause harm. This would echo his introduction to the show as a scaffolder, when a colleague nearly dropped a metal pole on Julie Carp last year. Fans believe Theo will cause an incident with the equipment, leading to a death by falling scaffolding.

One fan wrote on social media: "New theory: Theo tampers with the scaffolding to frame Gary but it collapses on the victim." Another added: "Definitely think Theo will mess with scaffolding." A third speculated: "I reckon someone will fall off that scaffolding next week."

While the storyline has been billed as a whodunnit, some viewers wonder if the scaffolding is a red herring. Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
