Kemi Badenoch has called on Andy Burnham to exempt killers, rapists and paedophiles from Labour's early release scheme, after the mayor announced a pause to it.
The Conservative Party leader said that while she welcomed the pause, Mr Burnham had "only suspended one part of early release, pending yet another review."
She added: "Exempt killers, rapists and child abusers from this scheme. Permanently."

The demand comes days after it was revealed that PC Harper's killers could be released halfway through their sentence.
