Uri Geller: UK is 'finished' unless I become PM

Uri Geller, the 79-year-old self-proclaimed psychic, has told the Daily Star that he believes the UK is in a state of decline and could be "finished" unless dramatic new policies are introduced. The spoon bender, who holds a British passport, has set his sights on Number 10.

Geller's warning to Britain

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Geller said the biggest threats to the UK come from overseas and that the UK's "air force, navy and army" need to "wake up". He warned: "I'm trying to awaken you guys. England has to avoid decline."

The psychic claimed that, because of his powers, he has discovered that foreign agents have been planted and that MI5 "are racing against time to stop an atrocity."

Prime Minister ambitions

Geller called on the people of Britain to "wake up" and stop the country's decline. He said he knows the solution, explaining: "I'll come back to England, and I'll become the Prime Minister. . . I already have the British passport."

He admitted he is already "very busy already" and would have to cut back on some commitments before taking the job.

Defending his abilities

For those unconvinced by his political credentials or psychic powers, Geller advised people to "do their research." He added: "I've been tested. MI5 and MI6. They both validated my powers."
