Susan Dell: Trump's $6bn pledge and Oval Office endorsement

Susan Dell, wife of billionaire Michael Dell, appeared in the Oval Office this week to urge parents to use Donald Trump's new 'Trump accounts'. 'We believe in you, and we want you to dream big because we know you can make your dreams come true,' she told reporters.

The $6 billion pledge and Trump Accounts

Susan and her husband have pledged more than $6 billion to help fund the 'Trump Accounts' for children in the United States. The investment accounts were created in 2025 as a traditional IRA account and are offered to U.S. citizen children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. Eligible children will receive a one-time $1,000 deposit from the US Treasury to give children an 'early investment asset'.

Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies, and Susan have been strong proponents of the accounts.

Oval Office endorsement and appearance

Susan's appearance in the White House sparked conversation after Trump appeared to endorse her for office. Trump asked Michael: 'Is she thinking about running for office?' Michael replied no, to which Trump added: 'I'll endorse her immediately. She has my complete and total endorsement.'

Susan's appearance also sparked discussion, with many pointing out how different she looked just a few years ago. The billionaire's cheekbones appeared noticeably sharper, and her green eyes were much wider than in previous photos of her. Some accused Susan of having what's been dubbed as 'Mar-a-Lago' face, after Trump's golf course and resort in Palm Beach; the excessive filler and plastic surgery have become a staple of the President's staunchest supporters.

Plastic surgery trend among Trump insiders

Plastic surgeons in Washington revealed last year that a larger wave of Trump insiders are asking for procedures to get the look. Plastic surgeon Troy Pittman told Axios that the trend of subtle cosmetic work is fading, as more and more clients ask to look as though they 'had something done'.
