Reform UK's Zia Yusuf Embraces Conspiracy Theories in DC

Reform UK's Home Affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf traveled to Washington DC and delivered a baffling speech at the right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation, warning about nefarious political interference from overseas. The speech, given to a few dozen invited MAGA luminaries, included hair-raising claims about foreign money and dark actors creating flashpoints.

Yusuf's Warning About Foreign Money

"I'm concerned about foreign money, dark money," Yusuf told the audience. "People trying to create flashpoints, as they did in this country between ICE and protesters. There are bad actors who are extremely well funded, who are setting themselves out to create flashpoints."

Irony in Light of Farage's Controversy

The warning came as his party leader, Nigel Farage, faces scrutiny over a £5 million gift from a Thai-based businessman that he did not declare. Farage was also accused of fanning the flames of disorder after calling for "pure cold rage" in response to the murder of Henry Nowak.

Yusuf spent the day on Capitol Hill meeting with Trump-adjacent Senators and Members of Congress, raising concerns about the influence of wild conspiracy theories on his views.
