Lisa Rinna Slams Spencer Pratt's LA Mayor Run, Says No to Reality Star
Lisa Rinna Rejects Reality Star for LA Mayor

Lisa Rinna has publicly criticized Spencer Pratt's campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. The 62-year-old former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was asked by Variety reporter Marc Malkin at the American Music Awards on Monday who should be the next mayor.

'That is a good question,' Rinna replied, before adding that a 'reality star' should not get the job. 'I am gonna say I don't know yet. Not a reality star, though. I'm sorry. I love him, but we've already done that, we're not going to do that again,' she said, wearing a tie featuring former President John F. Kennedy.

She was referring to President Donald Trump, who was a reality TV star with The Apprentice before leading the country. The former soap opera star acknowledged that Pratt, 42, has campaign momentum. 'He's got power behind him, it seems,' she added.

The 'power behind him' is Trump, who spoke highly of Pratt earlier this month: 'I'd like to see him do well. He's a character. I heard he's a big MAGA person,' said the former president.

Rinna expressed doubt that voting for a reality TV star is a wise choice. 'Listen, I'm a reality person,' she said, referencing her time on RHOBH. 'You wouldn't want me as mayor, really. I mean, let's just face it.'

She went on to say she 'loves' Pratt and thinks 'he's amazing' but prefers someone with more experience: 'Let's have somebody that's already been mayor, the mayor of San Jose, or whoever.'

Pratt became politically vocal after his home in the Pacific Palisades burned down last year, forcing him to live in a trailer and various hotels. When criticized for spending nights at the pricey Hotel Bel-Air, he snapped back on X, 'Hey guys, why don't they wanna talk about why I need a hotel in the first place? Karen Bass let my home burn down. Also 6,000 of my neighbors. NBD.'

The former The Hills star has frequently criticized current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and city councilwoman Nithya Raman throughout his campaign. Pratt has raised over $500,000 for his campaign since January, surpassing Bass's reported fundraising total during the same period, according to campaign finance records reviewed by People.

This comes after Rinna mocked another reality TV star: Kylie Jenner. In April, she re-created Jenner's beach photo shoot with beau Timothée Chalamet while vacationing in the Caribbean, imitating their poses in crystal clear waters.

Rinna also celebrated her 29th wedding anniversary with husband Harry Hamlin. She shared a gushing tribute on social media, posting photos from their decades-long relationship and soundtracking it with Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing.' '29 years married to Harry Hamlin. The love of my life, sexiest man alive, chef extraordinary, best husband and father… I love you more every day,' she captioned.
