Lisa Rinna has made it clear she does not support Spencer Pratt's bid to become the next mayor of Los Angeles. The reality TV veteran, speaking to Variety at the American Music Awards red carpet, dismissed the idea of electing another reality star to public office, in an apparent nod to President Donald Trump.
When asked about Pratt, the star of MTV's "The Hills" who has gained traction by criticising Mayor Karen Bass over the Palisades fire response, Rinna said: "Not a reality star, though. I love him, but we've already done that. We're not going to do that again." Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag lost their home in the January 2025 wildfires.
Rinna, who starred in "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Days of Our Lives," acknowledged her own reality credentials but insisted she would not be a suitable mayor. "I'm a reality person. You wouldn't want me as mayor, really," she said, before confusing the mayoral race with the California gubernatorial contest.
She suggested supporting Matt Mahan, the former San Jose mayor running for governor, saying: "Let's have somebody that's already been mayor." Pratt responded on social media, questioning Mayor Bass's past activities in Cuba, including claims she supported Fidel Castro and learned bomb-making.
