Mike Lawler Calls Marjorie Taylor Greene a 'Sycophant to Psychopath'
Lawler Blasts Greene: From Sycophant to Psychopath

Republican Congressman Mike Lawler has fiercely criticised former colleague Marjorie Taylor Greene, accusing her of evolving from a 'sycophant to a psychopath' following her claims that he harbours a deep disdain for President Donald Trump.

Lawler Responds to Greene's Accusations

The New York representative hit back after Greene, in an interview with Tucker Carlson, alleged that Lawler secretly detests Trump and even mocked him. 'He hated Donald Trump, made fun of him constantly, mimicked him - making fun of his voice,' Greene stated, adding that she was told Lawler was a Republican she had to 'fight for' when she entered Congress.

Lawler took to social media to denounce Greene's remarks. 'Marjorie Taylor Greene, aka Jewish Space Laser Lady, aka Moscow Marge, aka one of the dumbest people to ever serve in Congress, has zero credibility on any issue,' he wrote. 'Unlike Marjorie, who went from sycophant to psychopath in the span of 5 years, I've always been true to who I am and what I believe. I voted for the President 3 times, was a delegate in 2016, and have worked with the President to deliver results for my district, including lifting the cap on SALT.'

Lawler did not refute that he occasionally disagrees with Trump, framing this as a mark of authenticity. 'When I agree with the President, I say it. When I disagree with the President, I say it. I will always represent my district and do what I think is right for our country. Marjorie can go sit and spin, as she goes down in history as one of the least liked and most ignorant members to ever serve.'

Greene's Allegations of Bullying

Greene accused Lawler of bullying her over her support for Trump during his failed 2020 campaign. 'He used to attack me, make fun of me, come and find me on the House floor,' she told Carlson. However, she claimed that after Trump returned to power, Lawler underwent an 'unbelievable change,' suddenly becoming Trump's biggest supporter. Greene, now a Trump critic, said she witnessed Lawler boasting about a Trump-autographed MAGA hat, noting that loyalists like her were not rewarded. 'He's literally a Democrat. He's so against all the things that Republican voters care about, and he clearly hates Donald Trump.'

DCCC's Hit Piece and Campaign Spending

Last fall, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a hit piece claiming Lawler voted with Trump 100% of the time. 'Fake moderate Mike Lawler was elected to represent the Lower Hudson Valley, but it looks like he's been doing the bidding of Donald Trump instead,' they alleged.

In March, The Daily Mail revealed that Lawler's campaign fund spent over $150,000 on luxury perks, including limousines, private boat charters, five-star hotels, celebrity restaurants, and ritzy resorts. Records show expenditures such as a $3,400 dinner at a celebrity-frequented sushi restaurant, $7,355 on private boat charters at an upstate New York resort, a $1,300 'meeting' at the Venetian in Las Vegas, a $700 stay at a Florida beachfront Ritz-Carlton, and $560 at a Beverly Hills boutique. His campaign also spent tens of thousands on events at the Ryder Cup golf tournament and elite country clubs. A national limousine lobby group honored Lawler with a special fundraiser, and luxury car hire company executives donated over $20,000 to his campaign. Lawler's spokesman defended the expenditures, stating he is a top fundraiser and all expenses were legitimate.
