ITV's new quiz show Nobody's Fool has launched, hosted by Danny Dyer and Emily Atack. The series, which airs on ITV1 and ITVX, features ten contestants living together in a 'Smart House', where they compete in daily quizzes testing various areas of intelligence. Unlike traditional quiz shows, the contestants themselves are the only ones who know their own scores, and they must decide what information to share with others. The goal is to convince fellow players of their intelligence while identifying and eliminating the weakest competitor.
The show's premise is described as 'genius' by ITV, as it rewards not how smart contestants are, but how smart others perceive them to be. The synopsis states: 'The show aims to exploit preconceived notions about intelligence, playing on stereotypes and snap judgments to create a cast of characters who will keep viewers guessing.' The series consists of five episodes, with the first three airing on consecutive nights starting Saturday, May 23, at 9pm.
Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, who previously starred together in Disney+'s Rivals, serve as hosts. Dyer commented: 'This is a blinder of a game show and unlike anything I've seen before. Emily and I had a brilliant time making it and much like the audience at home will be, we were kept guessing right until the very end.'
The show follows ITV's recent cancellation of Graham Norton's The Neighbourhood, but the network has seen success with Rob Brydon's The Floor, which has been renewed for a second series. ITV hopes Nobody's Fool will replicate that success and become a hit similar to BBC's The Traitors.
