Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and personal attorney to President Donald Trump, has revealed that he underwent a profound spiritual encounter while being treated for viral pneumonia earlier this month. The 81-year-old was hospitalised in critical condition, requiring a ventilator and receiving last rites.
Details of the Spiritual Experience
During his hospital stay, Giuliani claimed he experienced what he described as a "very significant spiritual experience" while he was heavily sedated. Speaking on his online show "America's Mayor Live!", he recounted that he could not determine whether he was "headed for heaven", but felt he was "headed for a trial" with Saint Peter. He added that the experience left him feeling deeply moved, though he refrained from providing a full account at this time, promising to share more details in the future.
Recovery and Gratitude
Giuliani has since made a full recovery, stating he feels "100 percent" better. He expressed heartfelt thanks to President Trump for a "wonderful call" he received during his recuperation. The former mayor also thanked his supporters and medical staff for their prayers and care.
Giuliani, who served as mayor from 1994 to 2001 and later became a key figure in Trump's legal team, continues to host his daily online programme, where he frequently discusses political and personal matters.
