GB News presenter Alex Armstrong has reacted furiously after Labour MP Kate Osborne blamed the outlet following the Berlin Pride terror attack. On July 25, Abdul Ballout drove a van into a crowd attending Pride celebrations, striking multiple people, before crashing into a tree. He then went on a stabbing rampage and fled on foot. After a manhunt involving 2,000 German police, Ballout rushed at officers with a knife and was shot dead.
MP's statement
Osborne, the MP for Jarrow and Gateshead East, posted on Facebook claiming that "GB News sprouting nonsense broadcasting content" contributed to "language that attacks and vilifies the LGBTQ+ community." She wrote: "From Oradea formally banning the 2026 Pride March with homophobic rhetoric, to Reform here in the UK, to GB news spouting nonsense broadcasting content and language that attacks and vilifies the LGBTQ+ community to the attack on Berlin Pride that has left one dead and 16 injured. We see these patterns emerging across Europe, an escalation of hate, verbal attacks on line act as a catalyst for real-world physical violence."
GB News response
In response, Armstrong said: "It is disgusting. In my opinion, people like Kate are the problem in Europe."
