Last year, Joe Marler became the breakout star by cutting through the luvvie atmosphere and speaking his mind. His gruff, no-nonsense approach provided hilarious and real moments, like when he told Alan Carr, "We haven't got time for your bum bag."
The show thrives on skulduggery and deception, which requires the ability to lie convincingly. Sports stars, accustomed to post-match press conferences, are experts at saying nothing while appearing to say everything. This makes them ideal for the round table.
Potential Sports Stars Who Would Shine
Imagine Michael Owen, whose blankness is legendary; he once said he cannot watch films because they are implausible. Micah Richards, with his irrepressible warmth, would make the round table unpredictable. Gary Neville, known for his trenchant punditry and occasional Partridgisms, would be gold. Olympian Denise Lewis, fiercely driven, would not let anyone stand in her way.
