New Prime Minister Andy Burnham will today be warned that he lacks the ambition to lead the country forward. The Makerfield MP, who became prime minister earlier this week, is set to be put on notice by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch.
Badenoch's warning
She is expected to say that he is 'still thinking like the Mayor of Manchester' when he is Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. It comes as Mr Burnham announced a 120 a day cut to energy bills, and a cap on bus fares which Mrs Badenoch says suggests his 'ambitions are too small'.
