Allyson Felix, the most decorated female track athlete in Olympic history with 11 medals, is contemplating a return to competition for the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Felix told Time magazine that the "once-in-a-lifetime homecoming" opportunity to compete on home soil is the primary motivation powerful enough to draw her back to the sport. She acknowledges that she will not be at her peak performance level at 42 but expressed a desire to "give it a try" and challenge conventional expectations for women her age.
