The US President appeared in the Rose Garden on Monday with a deep, glowing tan to promote his administration's latest "back to school" initiatives.
Ex-aide reveals bronzer routine
Anthony Scaramucci, former White House Communications Director known as "The Mooch," has disclosed the secret behind Trump's signature tan, saying the President looks even worse without his daily application. Speaking to the Times, Scaramucci said: "It's like an orange bronzer he buys from a supply shop in the Bronx. He looks like an open can of Spam without make-up."
"He puts it on in the morning. Sometimes he reapplies it at night. It's a tanner. He thinks it looks fantastic, by the way," Scaramucci added.
Beauty experts weigh in
Beauty experts agree that the President's signature shade results from a heavy-handed cosmetic routine rather than a natural sun-kissed glow. Professional make-up artist Safia Cox previously told the Mirror that Trump relies on a heavy cream product, not sunbeds, to achieve his bright look.
"I think he uses some sort of fake tan or tinted moisturiser with a bronzer," Safia said. "It's definitely some sort of cream product that he uses and has probably mattified it after because it's so orange."
"You can see the rim around his face. If you look closely at his hairline, it's very pale, and that's not from sunbeds; he's slapping some sort of cream product on," she added. Safia suggested Trump's heavy application could stem from deep-seated insecurities or a case of "fake tan blindness."

Trump's glowing complexion drew attention during his latest Rose Garden outing, where he joined Education Secretary Linda McMahon to celebrate the new school year with students and teachers.
