The mother of an influencer critically injured in a Soho car crash has appealed for prayers as her daughter fights for her life. Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, was struck alongside two other pedestrians outside a London club on Sunday.
Gabrielle Carrington, 29, a former X Factor finalist, has been charged with attempted murder over the incident. She appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where she was seen making a heart sign to supporters in the public gallery.
Ms Zakrzewska, who has over 250,000 Instagram followers, remains in a critical condition. Her mother shared a plea on social media, saying: “Please keep my beautiful daughter Klaudia in your prayers right now. She is my angel, my world, my everything, and she needs all the love, strength, and healing we can send her.”
Carrington, from Manchester, faces charges including attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving. She is accused of hitting security guard Anoush Chyche, who suffered “life-changing injuries”, and Latisha Armstrong, who sustained actual bodily harm. Tests allegedly showed she had 61 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The Crown Prosecution Service reminded the public that proceedings are active and urged against any reporting or commentary that could prejudice the trial.
