Woman shot dead by ICE agent during Minneapolis raid, video contradicts official account

A 37-year-old woman has been shot and killed by a federal immigration officer during a large-scale enforcement operation in Minneapolis, according to local reports. The victim was identified as Renee Nicole Good by the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar said Good was a legal observer of the operation conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The incident occurred less than a mile from where George Floyd was murdered in 2020.

The Department of Homeland Security claimed on social media that Good was a domestic terrorist who weaponised her vehicle and attempted to run over law enforcement officers. However, videos appear to contradict this, showing the SUV reversing away from officers as they approached.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey dismissed the DHS narrative, stating he had seen the video and that the claim of self-defence was false. He added: 'To ICE, get the fuck out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety and you are doing exactly the opposite.'
