A 26-year-old man has been arrested in San Antonio, Texas, for allegedly posting online threats to kill Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk, ahead of a TPUSA event in the city. Jacob Wenske faces two felony counts of making a terroristic threat causing public fear, according to court documents.
The threats were made in connection with TPUSA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled for June 5 to 7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. In an April Facebook post by the San Antonio Express-News about the event, Wenske allegedly wrote, “I know exactly where to bomb,” and in a separate comment, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort.” Investigators noted that Wenske previously worked for a parking management company providing valet services at hotels and events.
Another threat surfaced in a January 2026 email in which Wenske allegedly wrote, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!” and threatened bombings at TPUSA events. Following the discovery, event security increased uniformed officers and deployed additional personnel. Investigators confirmed Wenske’s identity through subscriber records, email, phone number, and IP address, and found a pattern of hostile posts against TPUSA affiliates.
Wenske has been booked at Bexar County jail with a combined bond of $120,000. TPUSA spokesperson Matt Shupe said in a statement, “Turning Point USA takes all threats seriously… We are grateful to the San Antonio Police Department and the FBI for their rapid response and arrest.” He added that the summit would proceed as planned with enhanced security.
