Man Faces 18-Year Sentence for Alleged Rape of Three-Year-Old Daughter in Majorca
In a deeply distressing case from the city of Palma on the Spanish island of Majorca, a man stands accused of raping his three-year-old daughter and using her prison visits as opportunities for sexual assault. The defendant is confronting an 18-year jail term for multiple alleged counts of sexual abuse and assault dating back to 2018, with the First Section of the Provincial Court of Palma scheduled to hold the trial this week.
Disturbing Allegations and Court Proceedings
According to the indictment, the man, who reportedly has a history of domestic violence and sexual abuse, allegedly groped his daughter during her visits to him in prison. A further allegation claims that, prior to his incarceration, he raped her at his residence in Palma. In addition to the nearly two-decade sentence, the court has requested the man pay €30,000 (approximately £26,000) in what was termed "moral damages."
During questioning by the prosecutor and the lawyer for the private prosecution, the defendant responded, "This accusation is very strange. I swear on my life that I never went near her." He also claimed that the allegations were revenge from the girl's family, stating, "They never loved me or accepted me," and added, "I imagine it's because they're from Majorca and I'm not. They never liked me or accepted me." Defending himself, the man asserted that he was a "normal father" who "loves his children."

Under further questioning, the individual maintained that he never slept alone with his daughter, instead sleeping at her mother's home in Cala Rajada as part of the visitation schedule. He revealed that he discovered he had been reported after arriving at a meeting location, and in an effort to learn more, he travelled to various local and national police stations. He only found out about the details when he was eventually arrested in Extremadura eight months later.
In yet more disturbing details, the girl's mother, who attended the trial, noted that her daughter had started displaying what was described as "hypersexualized behaviour." She said, "She learned it from her father, I suppose at the meeting place." Meanwhile, the girl's grandmother claimed that the child had told her, "It's a secret I have with daddy, but we can't tell anyone. Daddy puts his penis in my vagina."
The prosecution has sought an 18-year sentence for the man for several counts of abuse and sexual assault allegedly committed in 2018, highlighting the severity of the case and the ongoing legal battle in Palma.
