Georgia Woman Dies After Zip-Lining Accident in Puerto Rico

Tamirah Dix, a 40-year-old from Marietta, Georgia, has died after a zip-lining accident in Puerto Rico. The incident occurred on Saturday when she hit her head during the activity, but she appeared fine and continued with her vacation. However, after going to sleep that night, she began having seizures and died on the way to the hospital, according to her family.

Her best friend, Brittani Hebron, described Dix as someone who 'likes to elevate people.' The two had been friends since the ninth grade and considered each other sisters. Hebron said Dix was her 'everyday person,' and her sudden death has been devastating.

Dix was the youngest of four siblings and was known as adventurous and caring, especially towards her nieces and nephews. Her family has set up a GoFundMe to cover the costs of bringing her body back to Georgia and funeral expenses. As of Thursday morning, over $6,400 had been raised.
