A brazen dine-and-dash incident has left staff at an Indian restaurant fuming after two customers indulged in a feast of curries and naan breads—only to vanish without paying.
The duo reportedly ordered multiple dishes, including chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, and garlic naan, racking up a £50 bill at the unnamed eatery. After finishing their meal, they allegedly excused themselves to step outside—and never returned.
"They seemed like normal customers," a staff member said. "We were busy, and by the time we realised they’d left, it was too late."
Police are now reviewing CCTV footage in hopes of identifying the culprits. The restaurant has since warned other local businesses to be vigilant.
Dine-and-dash scams have become an increasing problem for UK restaurants, with some establishments now requesting upfront payments for large orders.
