British Man Arrested in Bali for Stabbing Receptionist

A British traveller has been arrested in Bali on suspicion of stabbing a receptionist at a luxury hotel in a surprise attack captured on video. The incident occurred in the car park of the Menjangan Dynasty Resort near Gilimanuk Sea Port in North Bali on Tuesday night.

Attack Details

The 35-year-old from London, identified locally as Aaron Michel, drove into the hotel carpark and told staff he wanted to conduct a room inspection to decide if he wanted to book. When a front office staff member approached his vehicle to ask further questions, Michel suddenly produced a knife and stabbed the worker in the face. The attack was caught on footage obtained by the Daily Mail.

The video shows Michel getting back into his car and speeding away, with another man jumping onto the bonnet in an apparent attempt to stop him. The knifeman fled but was captured three hours later and is now in police custody.
