British Airways has dismissed a pilot arrested on suspicion of voyeurism after he allegedly filmed sexual encounters with up to 16 women without their consent and shared the footage online. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest of a 31-year-old man on March 5 following a complaint made two days earlier.
The pilot is accused of recording the acts using his laptop, which he positioned with the screen off during encounters, and allegedly covering a light that indicated the camera was active. One victim told a friend she discovered the recordings after another woman alerted her, adding that footage had been shared on porn websites.
Scotland Yard stated the man was released on bail as enquiries continue. British Airways sources indicated the pilot was initially stood down but has since been fired, despite the ongoing police investigation. The UK Civil Aviation Authority is also reviewing reports of alleged cocaine use by the pilot.
The Standard has contacted British Airways for comment. The airline has not yet responded.
